Bonjour de Paris!

After several years of musing and hoping, I seem to have found myself in Paris, France, to pursue my master degree! It's been a long time coming, but I am so excited to be here and make the most out of this crazy experience. I can't even believe its happening, it feels unreal.

The first few weeks have been an absolute blur! I started off desperately homesick, but soon became so busy with school work and everything else that I've had no time to think about it. Paris is overwhelming in that there's so much to do I don't know where to start. Of course there's all the museums and historical landmarks, but then in general there are so many events and festivals. There's no possible way to do it all!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the past few weeks.

Le Marais, Paris's Latin Quarter

Atelier des Lumières, one of the most beautiful and thought-provoking exhibitions I've ever seen.
Paris d'en haut, the view from the top of the Galeries Lafayette

Place Vendôme
I'm hoping to continue to use this blog to document my adventures in the little things, but also to provide some practical information in case you too are considering making a big move, are dealing with homesickness, or are just looking for things to do in Paris! Hopefully see you soon!

Hillside Farmacy

Hillside Farmacy, located in East Austin, might just be the cutest brunch place I've ever been to. Aside from the punny name (which I love), the whole cafe gives off a quaint, simple, and peaceful vibe.

It's bright and airy. The food is classic, and delicious. They source things as locally as possible, but it's also not expensive.

It's get's it punny name from the fact that the building used to house a pharmacy, and inside, they even have a cabinet that's full of vintage pharmacy products.

Writing this post is making me hungry! I can't wait to head back. If you're looking for a new brunch location in Austin, Hillside Farmacy  should be on your list.
