With my love (obsession is probably a better word) of all things French, this café has been on my list of places to check out in Austin for a long time! I was finally able to experience it with my friend Saran, a fellow crêpe lover, as we had a quick catch-up.
Le Café Crêpe is run by a French brother and sister team, and serves a variety of traditional French crêpes, as well as warm coffees and teas, and even beer and wine. You can browse the menu here.
It was pouring down with rain, so it was definitely a relief to duck into the warm and bright interior, perfect for a rainy day in Austin.
My favorite thing (other than the crêpes) was this wall covered in French signs. I thought it was cute, and gave the café somewhat of a vintage vibe.
As it was a pretty cold and miserable day, Saran, along with her sugar butter crêpe, also had a warm chai tea.
I skipped a warm drink because I wanted a decadent crepe. The glorious photo above is a picture of "Chloe's Crêpe" with Nutella, strawberries, and whipped creme. This is my favorite kind of crêpe ever. Hands down. You can't go wrong with strawberries and Nutella!
The food came really fast, and it was trés délicieux! If you're looking for something a bit French in Austin, this would be the place to go!
