Miracle on 5th Street

Last Friday evening, my best friend Cambria, and I decided to take ourselves out on a Christmas date to Austin's most festive (and only?) holiday pop up bar! Miracle on 5th Street ended up being a great, holly, jolly, and merry experience!

From the punny menu, including the Christmapolition, How The Gimlet Stole Christmas, and the Muletide, there were unique holiday cocktails for all, with some pretty unique ingredients too (but I'll get to that later).

It was warm and cozy inside, with Christmas classics playing, and some merry, and possibly tipsy, people singing along. It was packed full of people. Somehow though, it was the perfect snuggly place for some tasty cocktails and a good, long catch-up!

The bar tenders were all vibrant and excited, you could tell that they were enjoying their job, which was great to see. They danced and sang along to the music as well as they poured cocktail after cocktail for the excited bar-goers.

With all the different options on the menu, it was difficult to choose just one cocktail! We each had a different one so that we could try the other. I went for the "Christmapolitian", which included a variety of ingredients, including ... absinthe mist. Cambria went for the "How the Gimlet Stole Christmas." I wasn't the biggest fan of this one, but I really enjoyed mine!

It was a light-hearted, fun and festive experience. I'm not sure if it will come back to ATX next year, but I hope so!
