Hi, hello! I've decided to start a blog. Thank you for taking the time to read it! Please feel free to leave comments, questions, and advice, if you would like. This is a quick little post to get my foot in the door, and give some context to the blog. Currently, at this moment, I'm not sure what exactly it's going to be about, or the direction I want to go in, but I want to do something that is out of my comfort zone and will improve my writing and photography skills. I hope you'll bear with me as I figure this out!
It might just be a place for me to write about food, or activities that I want to share with others, or a place to let out my political frustrations. I think the next few months will focus on places to go and see in Austin, Texas (my favorite city!), but I'm also hoping to use the blog to share my experiences at graduate school in France next year. I'm beyond excited for the experience and chance to learn in a foreign country. Throughout my posts, I hope to impart the excitement and joy that I feel from the little things in life, from cheese tasting to baking, exploring a city, and just appreciating the opportunities that come my way.
Eventually I'd like to share some advice on living abroad, and what it's like to get your masters degree at a foreign school. It would be great to inspire others to follow a similar path. Overall, hopefully it will make me more comfortable with others reading what I write, and will be a great way for me to document the adventures, and most likely, misadventures, ahead!
